Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By enrolling in Professional Driver Training Institute ("PDTI") programs or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not enroll or use our services.

2. Enrollment Requirements

To enroll in PDTI programs, you must:

  • Be at least the minimum age required by your state for the program
  • Possess a valid driver's license (for CDL programs) or learner's permit (where applicable)
  • Pass a DOT physical examination (CDL programs)
  • Pass a background check and drug screening (CDL programs)
  • Provide all required documentation and information
  • Meet all state and federal requirements for the program
  • For students under 18, obtain parent/guardian consent

3. Tuition and Payment

  • Payment: Full tuition is due before program start unless a payment plan is arranged
  • Payment Plans: Available with approved credit; monthly payments required
  • Late Payments: Late fees may apply after 10-day grace period
  • Refund Policy: See Section 5 below
  • Additional Costs: DOT physical, drug test, state licensing fees, and background checks are student responsibility

4. Schedule and Attendance

  • Regular attendance is mandatory; excessive absences may result in dismissal
  • Students must complete all classroom hours, range time, and road hours as required
  • PDTI reserves the right to modify schedules due to weather, equipment issues, or instructor availability
  • Missed classes may be made up subject to instructor availability (additional fees may apply)

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Before Program Start:

  • Cancel 7+ days before: 100% refund minus $150 administrative fee
  • Cancel 3-6 days before: 75% refund
  • Cancel 0-2 days before: 50% refund

After Program Start:

  • Within first 10% of program: Pro-rated refund based on hours completed
  • After 10% completion: No refund available
  • Dismissal for violation of rules: No refund

6. Student Conduct

Students must:

  • Follow all safety rules and instructor directions
  • Maintain respectful behavior toward staff and other students
  • Arrive on time and prepared for class
  • Maintain sobriety - zero tolerance for drugs or alcohol
  • Use equipment and facilities responsibly
  • Complete all assignments and tests honestly

Violations may result in suspension or dismissal without refund.

7. Graduation Requirements

To graduate, students must:

  • Complete all required classroom, range, and road hours
  • Pass all written and practical examinations
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance and conduct
  • Complete all payment obligations
  • Return all borrowed materials and equipment

8. Certification and Licensing

  • PDTI provides training and certification; state licensing is separate
  • Passing state CDL or driver's license exams is student responsibility
  • PDTI does not guarantee state exam passage or job placement
  • Certificates issued upon successful program completion
  • False information on applications may void certification

9. Job Placement Assistance

  • PDTI provides job search assistance but does not guarantee employment
  • Resume assistance, interview prep, and carrier connections available
  • Final hiring decisions rest with employers
  • Students must pass employer background checks and requirements independently

10. Liability and Insurance

  • PDTI maintains appropriate liability insurance for training activities
  • Students participate in training activities at their own risk
  • PDTI is not liable for personal injuries except in cases of negligence
  • Students are responsible for personal property loss or damage
  • Vehicle damage during training covered by PDTI insurance (subject to deductible for negligence)

11. Privacy and Data Use

Student information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By enrolling, students consent to:

  • Sharing training records with DOT, DMV, and state agencies as required
  • Sharing information with potential employers for job placement (with consent)
  • Use of anonymized testimonials and photos for marketing (with consent)

12. Intellectual Property

  • All training materials, manuals, and content are PDTI property
  • Students may not reproduce, distribute, or sell training materials
  • Website content, logos, and branding are protected by copyright

13. Modifications to Services

PDTI reserves the right to:

  • Modify curriculum to meet changing regulations or industry standards
  • Change schedules, instructors, or facilities as needed
  • Cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment (full refund provided)
  • Update these Terms of Service (notice will be provided)

14. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes should first be addressed with PDTI management
  • If unresolved, parties agree to mediation before litigation
  • Any legal action must be filed in Florida courts
  • Florida law governs these terms

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
